Sunday School

The education ministry of NBC centers itself around the Sunday School as our main teaching/reaching organization. Graded classes from Bed Babies and Infants to Senior Adults provide Bible Study, fellowship, ministry, and evangelism opportunities each Sunday morning at 9:00.

For adults there are coed, men's and women's classes available in various departments. The function of the Sunday School is to teach biblical truth, to minister to church members and others, to support the fellowship of believers through encouragement and accountability, and to reach out to the lost and unchurched in the community with the good news of God's love.

You haven't been in a Sunday School class and are wary of such a setting? A great entry into Bible Study is our newest group, Adult Bible Fellowship. ABF exists to welcome people who "don't do that church thing." Fellowship Hall is filled with tables for small groups to share life experiences and make practical applications of Bible teachings. Coffee and donuts are part of a casual setting where Walk-ins are Welcome!

The College Ministry fulfills an important function. Through this ministry, Northport Baptist is able to prepare students at the University of Alabama and other local institutions to carry the gospel wherever they go after graduation.

The Young Adult and Young Marrieds Sunday School daprtments provide ministry to those just starting careers and to those who are starting their families.

The College, Career, and Young Marrieds are among the fastest growing departments at Northport Baptist. We invite you to visit with us soon.

The Singles Department offers an exciting and fulfilling ministry for Single Adults. Our Single Adults are very active and always have open arms for visitors.
